The Organizational Capability Manager is accountable for building both technical and non-technical capabilities in the Finance function within the Asia Pacific Region. This position reports to the Regional CFO and is a member of the Finance Leadership Team.

The scope of Finance Organizational Capability covers 3 countries, namely Indonesia, Australia and China. The position interfaces with equivalent roles across other regions and the segment organizational capability leadership.
Be able to significantly improve the capability of regional finance staff through:
• Coordinate regional function staff development and deployment activities such as succession planning, managed moves processes and review of promotion nominations.
• Support HR and the line with recruitment activities including projections of resource needs.
• Ensure that key tools and processes for staff development and deployment are effectively implemented and communicated to the line, including E&P Excellence program, etc.
• Lead overall coordination of the regional function challenge program including recruitment or graduates and annual recruitment targets to ensure a steady supply of new national talent.
• Responsible for the overall Finance Learning and Development (L&D)offer to support the development of the function capability; this includes the utilization of the Virtual Training Assistance system to support functional L&D needs.
• Develop and own the regional function Learning&Organizational Development strategy and carry our periodic reviews to ensure this is current and fit for purpose in delivering the capability needs for the regional function
• Provide assurance and endorsement of all promotions at specific level and below within the regional function

A Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting from an accredited University or appropriate tertiary qualification.
• Strong communicator – both verbally and written
• High enthusiasm – able to bring energy into this assignment
• Performance bias – able to move an agenda forward despite push back
• Proven track record in capability development and training development/design at a strategic level
• Experience of managing technical development programs and managing staff deployment activities
• Experience of implementing and managing competence assurance programs
• Experience in implementing and managing capability development and technical training programs in multicultural environment, particularly with Nationalization programs.
