Drydock Worlds SEA (Batam Base) - Engineer-Lifting, Quality Assurance Manager/Assistant

Diverse marine activities are focused in 4 shipyards, namely: Singapore, Graha, Nanindah and Pertama. Collectively these encompass 29 building berths, 8 floating docks, and a specialised rig building yard.

They should also have practical experience in the rig building, shipbuilding or ship repair sectors, having held relevant positions in the marine or offshore industry. Engineer - Lifting
Riau - Batam
Responsibilities: 
  • Manage basic and detailed design documentation of assigned disciplines including Naval Architecture, Machinery Design, Pipe Systems Design and Electrical Systems Design
  • Prepare lifting arrangements, calculations, design documents and relevant data
  • Responsible for on-time delivery, quality control and process improvement for assigned tasks
  • Manage and develop a team of Assistant Engineers and Draftsmen
  • Ensure compliance to policies on Health, Environment, Safety and Quality
  • Carry out design work, drawings and other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Degree in Naval Architecture or relevant Engineering qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of Shipbuilding experience in the Offshore and Marine Industry
  • Good knowledge of ship design, production processes and production documentation
  • Strong leadership & management skills and able to work independently
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Good knowledge of engineering design software
Quality Assurance Manager
Riau - Batam
Responsibilities: 
  • Lead and manage the QA Team responsible for all Batam yards
  • Manage the Quality Management System (QMS) to achieve and sustain ISO 9001:2008 certification
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts and ensure all processes are aligned with global QA policies, best practices and business needs
  • Manage access control and updates of policies and procedures
  • Manage the various Quality System elements including Internal Audits, Occurrence Reports, Key Process Objectives and Calibration System for improvements and corrective actions to meet business objectives
  • Evaluate new vendors and subcontractors in order to maintain the integrity of the selection process
  • Drive a business oriented QA with professional approaches toward effective positive collaboration in an ethical working environment with all stakeholders
  • Provide advisory and consultation to stakeholders and provide regular updates to management
Requirements:
  • Degree in Quality Management System or relevant Engineering qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a QA role, including QMS and ISO 9001:2008 standard implementation
  • Possess an ISO 9001:2008 Internal Auditor Certification
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia, with experience with working with international stakeholders
  • Business oriented with strong leadership & management skills
  • Meticulous, organized and takes ownership
Quality Assurance Assistant
Batam (Kepulauan Riau)
Responsibilities: 
  • Maintain and upload procedures and reports in the QMS
  • Guide the implementation of procedures and work instructions as appropriate
  • Implement Quality systems such as Internal Auditing, Occurrence Reports, Quality Observation Card, Key Process Objectives
  • Assist in developing, improving and maintaining the QMS for ISO 9001:2008 certification
  • Serve as liaison to facilitate External Audits
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Quality system or relevant Engineering qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years experience in QA role with working knowledge on QMS
  • Possession of ISO 9001: 2008 Internal Auditor certificate is advantageous
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Meticulous and organized in documentation
  • Comfortable in handling multiple IT platforms
  • Positive learning attitude and adaptable to change in a dynamic environment
