Drydock Worlds SEA (Batam Base) - Safety Inspector

  • Issue and control of Safety permits.
  • Monitoring work on-board and other yard areas to identify potential hazards and instigate remedial actions.
  • Coordinating with the vessel safety representatives.
  • Updating the coordination board on each vessel as required.
  • Investigation of accidents and incidents and reporting on it.
  • Maintaining safety records for each vessel.
  • Emergency Response Team.
  • Conducting Safety Training.
  • Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head.

  • Should have a recognized qualification in Safety (IOSH / NEBOSH general certificate equivalent) and be able to demonstrate experience of working in a safety capacity.
  • 3 years experience as a Safety Inspector or similar position in ship repair, particularly with VLCC's / ULCC's.
  • Proficiency use of MS Office applications.
  • Good command of English Language.
  • Confident and able to effectively communicate at all levels.
