Information Analyst (120001ZQ) 

Primarily responsible for desktop support. This responsibility includes hardware troubleshooting, Windows troubleshooting, installation of standard software, administration of printers, plotters, workstations, laptops, desktops, phones. You will develop your professional network and leadership skills, assisting in the creation and support of IT Solutions that enable Caterpillar 
  • Provide hardware and software support for computer clients
  • Required to perform complex technical problem diagnosis and resolution, and support infrastructure component, change management, including off-shift and weekend support functions.
  • Assist in infrastructure project management and implementation, under the direction of more senior staff
  • Evaluates, analyses, tests and provides recommentations for new computer products including hardware, software and new technology
  • Follows established IT Service Management and related support processes
  • Willing to adopt flexible work pattern to ensure coverage is provided during core hours
  • Assist and execute regular IT equipment refresh (laptops, desktops, printers, etc)
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following selection criteria:
  • 2 - 4 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Degree in computer science degree or certification and/or equivalent experience
  • Sound knowledge of and professional technical experience with PCs/laptops, printers, etc.
  • Knowledge of PC hardware (experience with Dell range an advantage) and software (Microsoft Windows, MS Office, Lotus Notes mail, etc)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), in particular fluency in English 
  • Self motivated and highly accountable, demonstrate initiatives and has good problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library), particularly Incident, Change and Problem Management
  • Knowledge of IP Telephony, Network, WAN/LAN and Project Management skills would be an added advantage
