Role synopsisThe Mining Sales Manager is responsible to drive the mining growth agenda of Indonesia. The business targets include gross margin, volume, expenses, business growth, HSSE, debt management and value management. The Mining Sales Manager is the link between the mining customers, distributors and internal mining application BDM. This role will be directly reporting to Industrial Country Manager.
Key accountabilities- Manage HSSE risks associated with travelling regionally and attending customers’ sites.

- Supporting the growth agenda of mining business in Indonesia with a target of 6 million litres by 2015. Meets Mining sales financial objectives by acquring new businesses in mining, forecasting requirements; preparing annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.

- Selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining distributors in assigned customers

- Achieves Mining sales operational objectives by contributing Mining sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans for the mining customers and distributors, preparing and distributing sales reports; maintaining a high customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining regional sales and implementing change.

- Recommends mining product lines by identifying new product opportunities and service changes; surveying customer needs and trends; tracking competitors.

- Provide feedback to senior management regarding performance. Evaluating competitive pricing on all proposal and tenders submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin

- Ensure that all business activities conform within BP’s code of conduct, country legislative requirements as well as BP strict Health, Safety and Environment policies.
Essential EducationBachelor Degree in Engineering, business management or any degree in any other subjects
Essential experience and job requirements- 5 year of sales & marketing experience with proven track record in mining is preferred

- Good interpersonal and communication skill with proven track records.

- Ability to work independently and set realistic goals and prioritize in order to obtain objectives

- Must have excellent in both written and spoken English

- High level of business acumen & business development skills. Superior troubleshooting skills.

- Good understanding of mining equipment and industrial applications, perhaps from mining operational, production and B2B sales experience.

- Demonstrated success in delivering results and outcomes through influencing others.

- Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, both written and oral. Experience in managing senior relationships
